The 2nd Annual Tanzania Trade Mission to the United States Comes to New York City and Opportunities to Make Business Deals Just Got Easier For New Yor
Brooklyn, New York (PRWEB) September 20, 2007 -- The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation in partnership with the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture, Tanzania Investment Center and Tanzania national Business Council will lead a senior level business delegation to New York City, with day long events in Manhattan and Brooklyn, when it convenes the 2nd Annual Tanzania Investment Forum and Trade Mission, September 16 - 22, 2007.
The Trade Mission will focus on assisting Tanzanian companies that want to enter the U.S. market for the first time as well as assist U.S. companies wishing to enter the Tanzanian market. The 2nd Annual Tanzania Investment Forum and Trade Mission will include meetings with key government officials, business leaders and local chambers of commerce. The mission will additionally provide a platform for policy and commercial issues - including Africa Growth & Opportunity Act (AGOA), customs regulations, intellectual property rights protection, transparency, and rule-of-law that both Tanzanian and U.S. companies face doing business in the respective countries.
The delegation will be comprised of Tanzanian firms representing a broad cross section of industries in Tanzania. The delegation is seeking buyers, distributors, partners, investors, products and services.
Representatives of the Chambers of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Services, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), U.S. Trade Development Agency (USTDA) and the U.S. Export-Import Bank (EX-IM) will be on hand for an Investment Forum sponsored by JP Morgan Chase.
Other partnerships and support comes from Congressman Edolphus Towns, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, the Empire State Development Corporation, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and The New York Transit Museum.
On Thursday, September 20th business opportunities continue in Brooklyn, home to a vast number of New York State manufacturers, as the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and its Brooklyn Goes Global (BGG) program will play host to several events including a morning breakfast at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge as well as a Business After Hours networking opportunity. According to Steve Kaplansky, Brooklyn Goes Global Director, "the Tanzania Trade Mission affords Brooklyn business leaders a chance to meet face-to-face with decision makers in Tanzania and form relationships that are mutually beneficial. We are delighted that Brooklyn Chamber member, Azania Holdings has facilitated such a fantastic global opportunity."
Other opportunities include a visit to Brooklyn Borough Hall, private meetings at the offices of Labeuf, Lamb, Greene & McRae LLP, and at weeks end, the delegation headed by Elvis Musiba, President of the Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, & Agriculture, meets with the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) and its members.
The 2nd Annual Tanzania Investment Forum and Trade Mission is organized by Azania Holdings Tanzania Limited (www.azaniaholdings.com); a subsidiary of U.S. owned Azania Holdings International Inc. Says Mona Davids, CEO, "the delegates are here from every industry imaginable to include hotels and tourism, telecommunications, mining, construction, engineering, agriculture, manufacturing, coffee, entertainment and more!
